Terms of Service

1. What COMA LIVE is

COMA LIVE Online is a marketplace that lets venues, promoters and event planners book performing artists directly. We are not a booking agent, employer or promoter. Every engagement is a contract between the booker and the artist; COMA LIVE provides the tools that make that contract, its payment and its paperwork work.

2. Accounts and approval

Artist, venue and promoter accounts are reviewed before they appear publicly. You must give accurate details, keep them current, and only create an account for a person or organisation you are authorised to represent. We may suspend or remove an account that is inaccurate, misleading or in breach of these terms.

3. Identity verification and badges

Promoters and venues may submit company details, a registered address and an identity or licence document. Those documents are visible only to COMA LIVE administrators and are never published. A 'ID verified', 'Licence verified' or 'COMA pre-approved' badge means we checked the details supplied at that time; it is not a guarantee of solvency, licensing status or performance, and you remain responsible for your own due diligence.

4. Promoters, venue enquiries and hire terms

A promoter enquiry is a request to hold a date, not a booking. Where a venue publishes standard hire terms, those terms apply to any date held or confirmed through the platform in addition to these terms, and the promoter confirms acceptance when sending the enquiry. Venues decide which enquiries to accept; COMA LIVE does not hire out, licence or operate any venue.

5. Bookings and contracts

A proposal is not binding. A booking becomes binding when both parties sign the contract generated on the platform. The signed contract — including fee, date, set length, rider and any agreed notes — governs the engagement. Changes after signature require both parties to agree in the booking thread.

6. Payments, escrow and commission

After signature, the booker pays the agreed fee into escrow. Funds are held safely until the event is marked complete. Once the event is marked complete, either party has 7 calendar days to raise a dispute from the booking. If no dispute is raised within that window, the escrowed funds are released automatically to the artist's connected payout account. The paying party (promoter, or venue when no promoter is involved) may optionally consent to early release on the booking, in which case funds are paid out immediately once the event is marked complete and that party waives its 7-day dispute window. COMA LIVE charges a 10% commission to the artist on completed bookings. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's terms.

7. Cancellations and disputes

Cancellation terms are those stated in the signed contract, or in the venue's published hire terms for a venue hire. After the event is marked complete, either the artist or the booker may open a dispute from the booking within 7 days. While a dispute is open the escrowed funds remain held. If no dispute is raised, or once a dispute is resolved, funds are released or refunded based on the contract terms and the evidence in the booking record.

8. Conduct and keeping communication on-platform

Do not attempt to take an introduction made on COMA LIVE off-platform to avoid commission, misrepresent an act, venue or track record, share another user's contact details, or use the platform for anything unlawful. Contact details are masked by default: messages, artwork approvals, logistics and payments belong in the booking thread, and calls and texts are routed through masked numbers and may be logged for safety and dispute handling.

9. Listings you request

You can ask us to list an artist or venue that isn't on the platform yet. A request is a suggestion only — we may decline it, and no listing, endorsement or availability is implied until that account is live and approved.

10. Liability

COMA LIVE is not liable for the performance, conduct, safety, licensing or insurance of any artist, venue or promoter, and the platform is provided on an 'as is' basis. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the platform develops; material changes will be signposted in the app. Questions go through the contact page.
